Lister Sinclair Part Four
Lister Sinclair (1921-2006) was born in India, raised in London, England, and became involved in the Players Club while a student at UBC. While a graduate student at the University of Toronto, he acted for CBC Radio and soon became a principal playwright for Andrew Allan’s Stage series on CBC Radio. From the mid-1940s through the mid-1960s he wrote more than 150 plays for radio, television and theatre. In 1958 he wrote The World of the Wonderful Dark for the Vancouver International Festival. Later he was best known as the host of the long-running CBC Radio series Ideas. Interviewer: J.D. Gravenor
