Flat Top Mountain Hike - Peaks of Otter Virginia

Flat Top Mountain via the Abbot Lake Trail is located in the beautiful Peaks of Otter area in Bedford, Virginia. It's rated as a HARD hike and it does live up to that rating. It's straight uphill after you pass the Peaks of Otter Picnic Area. There is no real break in the uphill climb for at least 2 miles. Total mileage for this out and bike hike was 5 miles.
