Another Pogo inspired Pastiche Remix of 'Rio' (2011, 20th Century Fox) Composed with samples of the film's soundtrack, dialogue, vocals, SFX and extra Samba and Latin Percussion. Before seeing this film, I was never really exposed to a lot of Brazilian or Latin Jazz music. When I finally saw this film in 2011, I found my love for the Brazilian culture and the incredible music of Samba, Bossa Nova and even my love for Brazilian Jazz standards from Sergio Mendes and João Gilberto. In the same way that this film is a love letter to Brazil; this remix is also a love letter to a film from my late childhood and the music of Latin and South America. Like some of my other works, this piece is inspired by the Plunderphonics artist ‪@PogoMusic‬ (Nick Bertke) I DO NOT OWN THE FILM.
