A VANISHING MANSION, BESIDE THE MAIN ROAD. Maybe my favourite arch. Riding west from Iloilo, I remembered this town about an hour down the road, and always wanted to see more of it. Today, I did. Guimbal... such a mysterious, intriguing town, named for the drums used to warn of incoming pirates from the many bantayan (watchtowers). From here, we rode along to neighbouring Miagao, towards the rice terraces.
