FREMANTLE DOCKERS 2006 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

Take a step back in time to 2006! The 06 season boasts the clubs first trip to a preliminary final in franchise history. There would be 9 successive wins, shattering the club's standing record. "This would be the breakthrough season. The year that every Fremantle fan had hoped would be just around the corner. There would be a triumph in front of an adoring home crowd... and most importantly, there would be a feeling of self belief. The Dockers had arrived. Peter Bell would top 100 games as captain and Chris Connolly would bring up the century as coach. The Superstar Matthew Pavlich would win a record equalling third Doig Medal, Finish sixth in the Brownlow, play superbly in the finals and win a fourth All Australian selection. For the Fremantle Dockers the rise from the relative obscurity of tenth place mid season to become a power broker in September was a story of resilience and perseverance. It was the story of 2006.
