2024 SCCA Hoosier Super Tour NOLA Touring 3 Nissan 370z Nismo

Round 2 of the 2024 SCCA Hoosier Super Tour brought us to NOLA Motorsports Park! This was a first for every driver on the team so there was a lot of time in the simulator before the weekend, preparing for a new, flat and decently technical track. This video is from race 2 (Sunday) after qualifying on pole earlier in the AM. Got off to a good start and despite a lockup going into turn 13 on lap 2, was able to build and maintain a decent gap to P2 until about halfway through the race when we started hitting lapped traffic. A local yellow in the esses section eliminated the gap completely and from then on it was a close battle to keep P2 behind. There was a close one passing a slow, lapped and out of class car right before the local yellow zone later on. On the final lap, had another lockup situation going into Turn 13, car wouldn't turn so had to jump into the escape road and finished P1. Stewards felt like I gained an unfair advantage so P1/P2 were swapped and that's all good. The visibility in the Z isn't great and I couldn't tell where P2 was - main concern was not hitting a car when rejoining the track. Still was a great race and fun to take on a new track and be competitive.
