The Tecsun PL-310ET AM FM LW Shortwave receiver is my recommendation for those looking for a portable radio that is inexpensive, has decent reception performance and uses standard AAs. The past four years it has been sitting on the shelf waiting to be rediscovered. During this video I take it through the Evening AM Broadcast Band near the Chicago Area.
