Our stay on the Idaho side of the Grand Tetons was just exactly the rest that we needed. The girls enjoyed floating down the river even though they coudln’t talk mom in to getting into the cold water! Boondocking along the Teton River with incredible sunsets almost every night was perfect, but getting to see a bull moose wandering the field right next to us made the trip complete! We wanted to share a boondocking tip with you guys in this video. Whenever you have been boondocking for a few days and are heading to another boondocking spot or have a couple travels days coming up, find a good dump station at a gas station like we found with a large parking area. Empty your tanks and then pull out of the way for a fast round of bonus showers for everyone, then head back and empty your grey tank again! A bonus shower is one that you didn’t have to plan out and can be a bit more than just a Navy shower usually taken while boondocking! 🙌 We left Idaho and headed across a new mountain pass that we had never crossed before, once again so thankful for our engine break! We were looking for a pull out where we wanted to recreate a photo we took on our first trip across the country on our way to Alaska in front of the Tetons in 2018. Unfortunately, we found out that the route we had taken was definitely the WRONG one! We finally found our spot and spent about an hour and 1/2 trying to recreate the photo! It was well worth the time to see how much the girls have grown and changed in those 3 years!
