But then, somehow, his story ended with a double murder conviction and death row. Ever since he stepped on stage, “Brutal” Bertil Fox was different; the 5’8” 245-pounder was an early mass monster before the term even existed, and the question wasn’t if he’s going to be Mr. Olympia, the question was “which year?” In 1983, four thousand people in Munich thought they were watching it happen, but when he was announced fifth, they were on the verge of a riot.
