Toyota B1650 code: it’s not always the seat sensor!
The B1650 code in a Toyota or Lexus vehicle means that the passenger seat occupancy sensor sends wrong readings to the system. This is the code that is quite often misunderstood and people spend too much money to repair something that may actually be fixed for free. The problem is not always with the sensor itself. Very often, the actual problem is the wrong calibrations of the seat sensor on the passenger side of the vehicle. Usually, you can fix this by using a good Toyota-compatible scanner and just resetting the calibrations for this sensor. It’s easy and fast and it’s totally worth trying this before you buy any parts or pay for any inspections. Unfortunately, sometimes, the problem is actually with the sensor and you will need to replace it. I hope the information in this video helps you! Also, if you have any experience with this trouble code, please share it in the comments. Any insights are highly appreciated and will help other Toyota owners.
