Nearly a week later, a new issue has emerged. The fate of the student, identified as N, the instigator of the incident, remains uncertain, with no clear direction for a new school. N's family had planned to transfer their daughter to a junior high school in Ngrayun District, Ponorogo Regency. However, the school has yet to accept her, as they are still coordinating with the Ponorogo Education Office. This situation means that Trenggalek 1 Junior High School continues to register N as an active student. However, N has not returned to school since the assault case against Arts and Culture teacher Eko Prayitno became public. "To this day, the student in question has not been assigned a new school. Her parents have submitted a transfer request, but as of Friday (November 7, 2025), there has been no further news," said the Principal of Trenggalek 1 Junior High School, Mokhamad Amir Mahmud, during a meeting with reporters. School Transfer Plans Suspended Amir explained that N's family had applied to transfer to Ponorogo so N could study in a new environment. However, the prospective school was not immediately willing to accept him. "The school in Ngrayun is still waiting for coordination with the Head of the Ponorogo Education Office. Because this is a cross-district school, we must follow official procedures," Amir explained. Meanwhile, rumors circulated that the prospective school politely rejected N. However, Amir declined to comment on these allegations. He emphasized that the school simply wanted to ensure N's right to study continued, without linking him to the case involving his family. SMPN 1 Trenggalek Ready to Accept N Back Despite public scrutiny of N due to his brother's case, SMPN 1 Trenggalek remains open to N's return to school. The school affirmed its readiness to accept N back if the transfer plan fails. "If N decides not to transfer and remains at SMPN 1 Trenggalek, we are ready to accept him. After all, he is still a child who deserves an education," Amir asserted. Amir also explained that the student transfer procedure requires the receiving school to provide a letter of agreement. Once the letter is issued, the school of origin can release the student's data from the Dapodik (Basic Education Data) system. "If the destination school is ready, we will immediately process and release the data from Dapodik. But if not, their status will remain as our student," he said. The Awang Krisna Case: Teacher's Reprimand Leads to Violence The case began when Arts and Culture teacher Eko Prayitno reprimanded N for playing with his cell phone in class. The reprimand angered N's family. Shortly after the incident, N's older brother, Awang Krisna Aji Pratama, went to the teacher's house and beat him in front of the victim's wife and children. The police named Awang a suspect and detained him at the Trenggalek Police Headquarters. They charged Awang under Article 351 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code concerning assault, which carries a maximum sentence of two years and eight months in prison.
