MTB tour Prato Piazza: Dobbiaco – Lago di Landro – Prato Piazza – Lago di Braies - Dobbiaco

The 58 km route consistently offers breathtaking scenery and unique experiences. The beautiful waters of Lake Dobbiaco, Lake Landro, and Lake Braies, the splendid mountain pastures of Prato Piazza, and the delicious dishes of the Vallandro and Prato Piazza refuges. The elevation gain is quite challenging, about 1,300 meters, but it's worth it! Route The route starts in Dobbiaco. Take the bike path that leads first to Lake Dobbiaco and then, following the Rienza River, to Lake Landro. Once you reach the village of Carbonin (Schluderbach), take the paved road that leads to Cortina d'Ampezzo and, after a few hundred meters, turn right onto the dirt road to Prato Piazza. Now climb up to the Vallandro refuge. A slight descent leads to the Prato Piazza refuge. Now descend on a paved and dirt road to the hamlet of Ferrara. Here, take the paved road towards Lake Braies for 1.6 km and then the small road on the left that will take you to Lake Braies. From the lake, descend along the paved road to the entrance to the Puster Valley, where you join the Pusterbike cycle path and cycle to Dobbiaco.
