Bathurst 1977 - 79 - Ford Fails On Race Day (And Wins Sometimes)

The duel between Holden and Ford continues at the mountain, with casualties on both sides. 1977 saw much failure for Ford, and almost tragedy for Moffat, but became their greatest triumph with a 1-2 finish. From then on it is all downhill as Fords crash and burn, run smoke screens and generally fail as Toranas dominate the rest of the decade and beyond.
