Today, the fertility rate of every OECD country except Israel is below the replacement rate and the rate of decline in the last 10 years has exceeded the expectations of demographers. In other words, the fertility of developed countries is rapidly declining... Governments resorted to material support in a panic to increase the number of children, but money did not work either. "Family-friendly policies" were not enough to increase the number of children. So what is the problem? Why is the population decreasing, why do people not want more children?
