Tignale, located in the Alto Garda Bresciano Park, thanks to its position overlooking the lake, has been named the Balcony of Garda and is an international tourist destination. The municipality of Tignale is made up of 6 hamlets, none of which bear the name of Tignale: Gardola (seat of the town hall), Piovere, Prabione, Aer, Olzano and Oldesio. The history of Tignale has ancient origins dating back with certainty to the Tiberian age. Thanks to the mild climate of the lake and fertile soil, the settlement of the first inhabitants, the cenomaniacs, was favored. Around 1200 the Lodroni family contributed to the growth and splendor of the places, which then continued with the dominion of the Scaligeri, who built a castle on the remains of a similar construction. At the end of the fourteenth century the Visconti, first, and the bishopric of Trento, then, obtained the jurisdiction of the area. Only a few years later Tignale passed under the dominion of the Serenissima Venetian Republic. Tignale, im Alto Garda Bresciano Park gelegen, wurde dank seiner Lage mit Blick auf den See als Balkon des Gardasees bezeichnet und ist ein internationales Touristenziel. Die Gemeinde Tignale besteht aus 6 Weilern, von denen keiner den Namen Tignale trägt: Gardola (Sitz des Rathauses), Piovere, Prabione, Aer, Olzano und Oldesio. Die Geschichte von Tignale hat uralte Ursprünge, die mit Sicherheit bis in die tiberische Zeit zurückreichen. Dank des milden Klimas des Sees und des fruchtbaren Bodens wurde die Ansiedlung der ersten Bewohner, der Cenomanen, begünstigt. Um 1200 trug die Familie Lodroni zum Wachstum und zur Pracht der Orte bei, die sich dann mit der Herrschaft der Scaligeri fortsetzten, die auf den Resten eines ähnlichen Bauwerks eine Burg errichteten. Ende des 14. Jahrhunderts erhielten zuerst die Visconti und dann das Bistum Trient die Gerichtsbarkeit über das Gebiet. Nur wenige Jahre später kam Tignale unter die Herrschaft der Venezianischen Republik Serenissima.
