Allan blames Labor slump on changing politics, warns of One Nation surge in Victoria

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan responds to new shocking polling which shows the Victorian Labor Party plummeting in popularity. “We don’t necessarily need the polls to tell us this, that the old rules of politics and what we used to know as normal … we know that the old rules have changed,” Ms Allan said. “Global economic shocks, that hit in kitchen tables here in Melbourne and Victoria, we know too that people are feeling more and more pressure, cost of living pressure, time pressure. “We are seeing how One Nation is taking a slice out of the Labor Party vote, it’s absolutely cannibalising the Liberal Party vote, the National Party vote. “I don’t believe that Victorians want the cuts and chaos that come from a right-wing partnership with the Liberal National One Nation outfit.”
