In this video I will be comparing the most popular woods use in making drum shell! Both of these drums featured in the video sounds and looks fantastic, but lets see what are the diffrence between the two. Birch is said to be bright pre EQ and full of attack drums that is said to be great in studio recording while Maple is well known for that low, warm and punchy tone. The drums that are featured in the video is the PDP CONCEPT MAPLE and the TAMA SILVERSTAR BIRCH.
