Social media activist, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has faulted the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, over remarks defending President Bola Tinubu’s handling of insecurity. Adeboye, speaking at the US-Nigeria Faith Heroes Award Gala in Washington on June 23, said Tinubu had “done his bit” by giving directives to the military and should not be blamed for worsening security challenges. He noted that terrorism and kidnapping had spread from the north “all the way down to the south” and “even at my doorstep”. The octogenarian cleric’s comment has sparked controversy, with many critics accusing him of tacit support for the Tinubu presidency.
