Книга «Звездные войны» казахстанское издание

In this video, we'll take a detailed look at two unique book artifacts from the early 1990s—the Almaty editions of George Lucas's original trilogy from 1992 and 1993, published by Balausa and EDO. These books hold an amazing history: a pirated translation from the Soviet magazine Yunost, adaptations from American storybooks, and incredible covers by local artists. They also tell a story from my childhood in 1997, which began with Tombola chocolate egg figurines and my dad's bookshelf. In this episode: How Yunost magazine circumvented copyright in 1991 and why the text was reprinted throughout the CIS. Review of the Balausa edition (1992): analysis of D. Mukhamedzharov's artwork, references to Ralph McQuarrie, and Alan Dean Foster's novelization. A review of a rarer edition of "EDO" (1993) with a mirrored McQuarrie on the cover.
