As part of the "Challenge Fukushima Project," Fukushima Prefecture promotes the diverse charms of Fukushima through various methods, promoting correct understanding and interest in the prefecture. Under the supervision of Fukushima Prefecture Creative Director Michihiko Yanai, the prefecture produced "Learn More About Fukushima!", a series of 25 six-second short films. This work, packed with the charms of Fukushima, was created with the aim of making people feel closer to the island and creating more excitement about Fukushima, which begins with learning about it. The films feature "Bekotaro," a character based on the traditional "Akabeko" toy, and "Kibitan," Fukushima Prefecture's bird revival symbol. The magazine also introduces Fukushima's unpretentious charms in a simple and easy-to-understand way, including local specialties like "asara" (morning ramen), "negi soba" (soba noodles eaten with a single scallion instead of chopsticks), and the firm, locally popular "peaches." In addition, this work uses illustrations that are accessible to both adults and children, rather than live action. The illustrations were created by Bunpei Yorifuji, a leading figure in infographics. Yorifuji also works with Michihiko Yanai to create "Fukushima Map," a comprehensive Fukushima Prefecture information magazine, and promotes the charms of Fukushima through his passionate illustrations and designs. ↓For entertainment video news, check out "Fieldcaster." http://fieldcaster.net/
