Philips. ICE VeriSight Pro Catheter, Made Clear
Since the birth of their specialty, Cardiologists have needed to see inside a moving heart. Until recently, the best option has been a “Trans Esophageal Echo” or TEE, which involves the insertion of a catheter down the throat, general anaesthetic, and a costly overnight stay. The VeriSight ICE Catheter from Philips, received FDA clearance in 2020, but their next challenge was to show how the device works, and encourage adoption in the US, and ultimately, the rest of the world.
