A Blacksmith's dictionary: Snakes for St. Patrick's Day
Every year for more than 25 years I have made a metal snake for a client on St. Patrick's Day. This years snake is a small copper one . The process of making this snake involves upsetting the head and punching eyes , nostrils and cutting the mouth with a chisel , twisting to make scales. There is also a gallery of prior years snakes at the end of the video.
