Warszawa Falenica, czyli najstarsza przekaźnikowa nastawnia w Polsce

Relays, even on railways, appeared over 100 years ago. In the 1920s, the railway relays we know today came from overseas to LM Ericsson. However, typical relay-based railway traffic protection devices were developed a bit later. In Poland, the first three signal boxes equipped with such station relay ZRK devices appeared after the war. And these were the Michałów branch station – unfortunately, already rebuilt; Warsaw Wawer – also now only history and memories; and Warsaw Falenica – today – in 2026, it still exists, although its days are numbered. Warsaw Falenica is the oldest existing and one of the three first relay devices in Poland. These are not ordinary type E devices, but original SWEDISH devices, Swedish circuits, Swedish relays, and the beautiful Swedish wooden shelves on which they stand. What has survived here is an absolute gem in the history of ZRK technology. What will happen to it? Statistically speaking, similar devices from Michałów and Wawer ended up where they most easily ended up – disposed of. This third and final opportunity cannot be wasted. If only devices from one signal box were to be preserved for historical purposes nationwide, this is the only right one! _____ Links to sources used in the film: www.ericsson.com/en/about-us/history/sources/lme-review ekeving.se/tlv/index.html pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dawna_sygnalizacja_kolejowa_w_Polsce platformazakupowa.plk-sa.pl/app/demand/notice/public/35328/details
