RAJMA MASALA Recipe | Simple, Homestyle & Deeply Satisfying

Craving that comforting, creamy Rajma Chawal just like home? This homestyle Punjabi Rajma Masala recipe is rich, flavorful, and comes together with simple pantry ingredients. Perfect served with steamed rice, jeera rice. Rajma - soaked and boiled - 1 cup Onion - one medium sized finely chopped Tomato - one big (pureed) Ginger paste - half tsp Garlic paste - one tsp Basic spices - Cumin powder, coriander powder, kashmiri chili powder, turmeric all one tsp each Heat 2 tbsp mustard oil add whole cumin, cinnamon stick, bay leaf. Then add chopped onion..fry till translucent not brown, add ginger garlic paste, then add tomato puree…fry till oil start separating. Add all powdered spices followed by boiled rajma and and water. Boil..add salt as per taste adjust gravy as required..sprinkle garam masala powder and half tsp ghee..cover to rest for 10 min. Add green coriander I did not have it today. Enjoy with rice alongwith salad or raita.
