Today's journey was the most difficult and frightening for us. We left Haridwar for Yamunotri at 7 a.m. and thought we would reach by 2 p.m. But the road conditions were so bad that the journey took 12 hours. At some places the road was broken, at other places the road was completely blocked due to landslides. At one point, our Alto got stuck in a ditch, and we were all alone in the dark of night, amidst the pouring rain… Somehow, mustering up the courage, we left and reached Yamunotri Dham at night… where all the hotels were closed. We will always remember this journey.
