Star Wars Galaxys Edge Outlet Cover

It all started back in January when White’s Wicked Workshop agreed to help me create what should have been a simple Disney/Galaxy’s Edge inspired outlet cover for my office door… and I’m pretty sure David regrets saying yes by now. What began as a basic hidden Mickey design slowly turned into a full blown obsession involving: Hidden power cords Movable Mickey ears Fusion 360 redesigns Galaxy’s Edge inspired soda-lid covers Custom greeblies and detail pieces Spray glue disasters Bondo + acetone panic repairs Rust textures and weathering experiments And WAY too many redesigns This project sits above the entrance to my office and future “carved into the rock Rebel Base taken over by the Empire” build room — which conveniently lets me mix Rebel and Imperial props together without breaking my version of Star Wars canon. In this video I walk through the entire evolution of the build, the problems we ran into, the fixes we discovered, and why creative projects NEVER go as planned. If you enjoy Star Wars builds, Galaxy’s Edge props, 3D printing, cosplay room builds, prop making, weathering, or seeing the messy reality behind creative projects… this one is for you. Huge thanks to David from Whiteys Wicked Workshop for endlessly revising files and somehow surviving all of my “one more tiny change” requests. This video is a "53 Cent Production".
