In this review, I discuss the strengths and weaknesses of Russian Fishing 4 and Fishing Planet, including realism, fish behavior, gear management, progression, tutorials, missions, travel costs, repair systems, and the overall new player experience. Rather than declaring one game the winner, this video focuses on how both games approach fishing differently and why each can be enjoyable depending on the type of experience you're looking for. Russian Fishing 4 offers deep simulation mechanics, realistic fish behavior, detailed gear management, skill progression, cooking, bait making, and long-term goals that reward knowledge and patience. Fishing Planet focuses on accessibility, guided progression, exciting fish fights, mission-based gameplay, visual presentation, and a much stronger onboarding experience through the Back to Basics update.
