Steve Jobs NeXT Applications Demos Part 1 McGiver NeXT 68949 Cube install clean NeXTstep 3.2 User
Hello NeXT and Apple communities: here is part one in my resurrecting the Steve Jobs demos from the 1990s for your entertainment. I know I’ll be nowhere near polished is Steve but I will have fun with it and so step one is to make sure I have the correct set up in order to do this by the instructions on the Remi file on the proprietary internal NeXT CDO I needed to install an earlier version of next step in order for any of this to work and I gather on clean NeXT hardware in other words wipe the drive and start fresh as we’ll be setting up a fake network in order to run Steve’s custom applications that he used in the demos and I’ll have links to the originals as well. I’m not sure where all I’m going with this, but it should be pretty fun to try and so there’ll be this part one and then part two I kind of show how I set up the cube to wipe out the version of open step 4.1 that existed on it and re-initialize it formatted it and installed version 3.2 with some custom MacGyver techniques that you guys are probably enjoy if you’re a retro hardware geek like myself so stay tuned for more fun stuff to come from the black hole world, peace and warm regards Rob Blessin
