Conserving Colorado: A 10-year Roadmap for the Future of Private Land Conservation
In 2023 Keep It Colorado published the state's first coordinated, strategic, statewide plan that will guide the conservation community in land conservation efforts over the next 10 years. The plan, or roadmap, was developed with input from nonprofit land trusts, public agencies and conservation partners across Colorado, and is designed to align with other statewide efforts focused on water, recreation, agriculture, wildlife and climate resiliency. It will help inform activities and investments geared to protect the 60% of lands in Colorado that are privately owned - and that contribute greatly to creating a Colorado where people, lands, waters and wildlife thrive, today and in the future.
