Extremely Intoxicated Woman Arrested for SIXTH DWI After Crashing her Jeep
Around 10:23 AM on July 14, 2025, officers with the Union Beach Police Department first responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Cambpell Street. They made contact with the driver of a black 2025 Jeep, and she was identified as Catherine Casessa. Witnesses on scene told the officers that she struck a parked vehicle and attempted to flee. Catherine denied consuming any alcohol earlier that evening, but the officers detected the odor of alcohol and observed multiple open containers inside her vehicle. Based on their suspicions of impairment, Catherine was asked to perform field sobriety exercises after Sergeant Michael Davis arrived on scene. Following the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test, she told them that she could not perform any other tests. Based on the motor vehicle crash, the odor of alcohol, the open containers inside the vehicle, and her inability to satisfactorily complete the field sobriety exercises, Sergeant Davis placed Catherine under arrest for driving under the influence. The vehicle she was driving was impounded for a mandatory 12-hour hold under John’s Law. She was transported to the Union Beach Police Department for further processing. At the Union Beach Police Department, Catherine was read the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators, and agreed to submit breath samples. Catherine was eventually released pending her court appearance. Sergeant Davis issued Catherine the following traffic citations: -Operating under the influence (39:4-50) -Reckless driving (39:4-96) -Careless driving (39:4-97) -Traffic on marked lanes (39:4-88) -Open container (39:4-51B) As of May 26, 2026, this particular case from July 15, 2025 in Union Beach, NJ is still pending in court. Catherine has 5 prior arrests for driving while impaired. Her prior arrests include the following: -Simple assault (2C:12-1A) and resisting arrest (2C:29-2A(1)) in Freehold Township, NJ on November 14, 2010 -DWI in Jackson Township, NJ on February 7, 2011 -Simple assault (2C:12-1A) in Jackson Township, NJ on March 22, 2011 -DWI in Marlboro Township, NJ on August 24, 2018 -DWI in Aberdeen Township, NJ on May 30, 2019 -DWI in Matawan, NJ on January 3, 2025 -DWI in Aberdeen Township, NJ on February 11, 2025 ---------------------------------------------- Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and consider supporting this channel (email us for more information).
