Loose-leash walking techniques: circling and stopping

Both of these techniques use "forward motion" as the main reward. Circling takes away the forward aspect of motion, which is less frustrating for some dogs, in addition to breaking undesirable focus. Stopping takes away all motion and can be used quickly in tight spaces for experienced dogs that only need an occasional reminded. Information on circling can be found at the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy, whom we do not represent in any way.
