[4K] UP 4014 and RBMN 2102 on the RBMN June 2026 Part 2: White Haven to Nesquehoning, PA

This video continues the adventure from last Saturday, going into the following Sunday. Enjoy! (0:00): Pulling into White Haven, PA, plus a Willys Jeep. (0:07): RBMN T-1 #2102 cruises through the town of White Haven, putting on a show for young and old enthusiasts alike. RBMN 4-8-4 T-1 #2102 (ex-2-8-0 I10sa #2044) (4:19): Walking by D&H Caboose 35743 in the parking lot. (4:44): Passing the Weatherly Area Museum in Weatherly, PA along with the former LV railroad station. There's also a LV coal hopper displayed outside. The route here is NS' Ashmore Secondary to Hazleton. (5:04): Time for trouble (slight reference to the Thomas episode, but no, literally). At the Hunter Street overpass outside Nesquehoning, RBMN 2102 passes again, with two GP38-2 helpers sent from Jim Thorpe. It turns out the mighty Northern ran out of coal and needed the Geeps to tow it home. Also, I can do nothing but apologize for filming at a spot with trees in the way. I would have moved closer to the open area, but there were a bunch of people already there. We were almost packed like sardines. UP 4-8-8-4 Big Boy #4014 NS SD70ACe #1776 ("The Bell", ex-1192) UP SD70M #1776 (ex-4164) (9:48): Arriving back in Nesquehoning, where of course both steam locomotives already beat us. (11:22): RBMN SW8 #801 (ex-CR #8690/LV #276) is seen playing hide and seek on the other side of 2102's excursion, and we walk alongside the train. (12:51): UP 4014 eases forward to get closer to the front of 2102 and its train. Lesser known fact: The state of Pennsylvania (home base for 4014 and where it operated during its service life) was named for the Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania. Very fitting for it to be running excursions through the namesake of its home state. (20:47): Plenty of footage of the legendary 4-8-8-4 and the lesser known, but more local, 4-8-4 resting after their hard work that day. This includes more visible shots of the SW8, as well as RBMN GP38-2 #2013 (ex-NS/SOU #5070) also hiding out. (24:32): The RBMN excursion headed by 2102, now void of passengers, reverses back toward Jim Thorpe. As we arrive, we run alongside 2102's consist. She has now gained two new diesel helpers, two ex-CSX SD50-2s. (36:20): At 9 AM sharp, RBMN 2102's train departs Nesquehoning first, where 4014's train will follow an hour later.
