It is believed to represent the Agni (Fire) element among the Pancha Bhoota (Five Elements) temples of Lord Shiva: 1️⃣ Kanchipuram – Ekambareswarar (Earth) 2️⃣ Tiruvanaikaval – Jambukeswarar (Water) 3️⃣ Chidambaram – Nataraja (Space) 4️⃣ Kalahasti – Kalahasteeswarar (Air) 5️⃣ Tiruvannamalai – Arunachaleswara (Fire) 🔥 According to ancient legends, when Lord Vishnu and Brahma once debated who was supreme, Lord Shiva appeared as a limitless pillar of fire (Jyotirlinga) — this divine fire later became the Arunachala Hill itself.
