My aim is to help you understand why your solution doesn't work and why the correct solution works. On this channel, we don't jump directly from problem → answer. Instead we go through the real thinking process across multiple evolutions: ❌ Approach 1 (Q3): 1D Dynamic Programming - We track the state `(idx, prevCovered)` to decide whether to stay or move the token left. It works, but can we do it without DP? ✅ Approach 2 (Q3): Greedy Block Analysis - We notice that tokens only shift left. If we treat consecutive '1's as blocks, shifting left just means expanding the block by 1 space and leaving exactly ONE index uncovered. To maximize the sum, we simply drop the minimum element in that block! Pure O(N) magic! 🚀 Approach 3 (Q4): The Number Theory Masterpiece - Instead of checking every pair for GCD, we precompute the Smallest Prime Factors (SPF) using the Sieve of Eratosthenes. Then, we evaluate each candidate value `V` using the Principle of Inclusion-Exclusion (PIE) to count how many elements are NOT coprime in O(1) time! You will learn: • How to transition from Dynamic Programming to Greedy Array traversals. • How to use Bit Manipulation for pattern matching. • How to apply the Principle of Inclusion-Exclusion (PIE) in Competitive Programming. Because in real coding interviews and contests, thinking matters more than memorizing solutions. Here we break down LeetCode POTD, contest problems, and important DSA questions with clear explanations so you can build strong problem-solving skills. If you want to improve your DSA logic, coding intuition, and interview problem solving, this channel is for you. Welcome to DCodeThought — where we focus on thinking, not just coding. --- 💻 Solutions explained in: Java | C++ | Python 📌 Topics covered in this Contest (Biweekly 184): LeetCode Biweekly Contest Solutions Bit Manipulation & Bitwise Operators Dynamic Programming & State Tracking Greedy Algorithms & Array Blocks Number Theory (Sieve of Eratosthenes) Principle of Inclusion-Exclusion (PIE) Space-Time Complexity Tradeoffs --- 🔔 Subscribe for daily problem solving and logical thinking. --- Tags: LeetCode Biweekly Contest 184, Biweekly Contest 184 solutions, LeetCode Biweekly Java, LeetCode Weekly C++, LeetCode Weekly Python, 3950 Exactly One Consecutive Set Bits Pair, 3952 Maximum Total Value of Covered Indices, 3953 Maximum Score with Co-Prime Element, Bit Manipulation, Dynamic Programming, Greedy Algorithms, Principle of Inclusion Exclusion, Sieve of Eratosthenes, Number Theory, LeetCode POTD, Problem of the Day, DSA in Java, DSA in C++, DSA in Python, competitive programming, coding interview preparation, FAANG interview questions, Google interview coding, Amazon technical interview, software engineer placements, learn coding in Hindi, DSA in Hindi, DCodeThought, WA to AC, time complexity optimization.
