212th Anniversary of the Ceylon Bible Society & 32nd Festival of Choirs Thanksgiving Service 2024

This Interdenominational Event is one of the most important events of the Ceylon Bible Society for the year 2024, as we are celebrating the 212th Anniversary of the Ceylon Bible Society on Thursday, 01st of August 2024 at 5.00 p.m. at the Cathedral of Christ, the Living Saviour, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7. The Ceylon Bible Society has organized the Festival of Choirs as a Choral thanksgiving service for the past 31 years with many Roman Catholic and Christian School choirs participating to make this event a meaningful and memorable one. Many heads of Churches, Clergy resending all denominational Churches and music enthusiasts look forward to this annual event. This year we have focused on specific themes such as Repentance, Thanksgiving, Creation, Wonderful Words of life & Adoration and the choirs have to sing hymns and songs based on these themes. Ceylon Bible Society has invited His Excellency Most Rev. Dr.Brian Udaigwe, Apostolic Nuncio, The Apostolic Nunciature to Sri Lanka as the Chief Guest at this Event. This invitation is extended to Clergy, School students and parents to participate at this Choral thanksgiving service to celebrate this historic occasion.
