The Corpse Knight (Vs. Dess) - Deltarune

I didn't actually mean to follow up my Asgore theme with a Dess theme, it's kind of funny it worked out that way. This song and art were made by me. Deltarune by Toby Fox. I originally just called this song “vs corpse of dess” then Dess the Abysswalker then "dead of night" the name may change again. The idea for this song stemmed from one question. Lots of people believe that the Roaring Knight is Dess, but if we already hear the real Dess trapped in the code of the game, then who would be in the suit of armor? If Dess is the knight, it’d have to be a different Dess. If you believe the parallels between Dess and Asriel, you can also see parallels between the Roaring Knight and Flowey. In this thought process, both RK and Flowey would be reanimated versions of their previous selves, only now warped and maddened by their new forms. Considering the voice in the code, maybe this is the body of Dess, while her mind is trapped elsewhere. This could explain why she seems to be trapped in a realm of nothingness. Maybe it is just her mind there, her senses trying to pick up signals that do not exist. The absence of light, sound, and touch. Though, there is an occasional scratching sound, idk how to explain that one yet. It’s hard to guess at what the roaring knight actually is. I started making this song with the idea in mind that the knight could be Dess’s corpse, paraded around by either dark forces, gaster shenanigans, or determination. I had a whole section here blabbering about why I think Dess’s situation mirrors that of Mari from Omori, but I cut it out cause it was just insanity. Basically, it was me hypothesising that Dess was dead because: Kris - Sunny Susie - Aubrey Asriel - Hero Ralsei - Basil Dess - Mari Oh also the design for Dess Knight was inspired by Artorias the Abysswaler from Dark Souls. This song was a pain to make cause I decided to add in the effect plugin that crashes your FL Studio. It did make a cool little effect at the end though.
