1988 Galaxy (Lasko) 16” oscillating table fan

Recorded on May 31st: I hope everyone’s having a good 4th of July weekend and for the 250th anniversary. To kick off today’s #FanFriday celebration, here’s revisit of my 1988 Galaxy/Lasko table fan model 2151 (16”). When I previously made videos of this fan back in 2019 and 2021, I originally thought this was either a 1986 or 1987 model. Lo and behold, this fan is actually a rare 1988 transition model that they made for a year before they switched to the white and gray color scheme. What sets this brown 2151 apart from the others is that it utilizes the capital GALAXY logo, uses the 12” grille badge, and lastly features the slightly smaller 12” push buttons vs. the larger 16” ones from previous years. I figure I’d revisit this fan now that it hasn’t been seen on YouTube for the last few years.
