Ruff 'n' Tumble (1994) für den Amiga

Ruff 'n' Tumble was also completely unknown to me. But since this classic appears on practically every Amiga best-of list, I naturally had to try it out at some point. And what can I say? Ruff 'n' Tumble is like Sonic the Hedgehog and Metal Slug having a baby. Overall, Ruff 'n' Tumble is a bit too hectic and cluttered for my taste. As a child, I would have been completely overwhelmed by it. Ruff 'n' Tumble is a product of its time. The controls aren't ideal (which they need to be to truly master all the enemies), and the music gets tiresome after just five minutes. I have no idea what the developers were thinking. I was even asked to turn the sound off during a stream 😂 Not a good sign! Ruff 'n' Tumble is a product of its time. #ruffntumble #jumpnrun #retro #retrogames #gaming #twitch #german #games #gameplay #atiegamer #retrogaming #amiga #commodore Did you enjoy the video? While searching for the marble, you must then free the planet from the mad Dr. Destiny and his robot army. Ruff 'n' Tumble was well-received in the gaming press. The ratings I could find ranged from 79% (Amiga games) to 92% (CU Amiga, CU stands for Commodore User). Ruff 'n' Tumble appears in almost every "best of" list for the Amiga these days, which is why I finally wanted to introduce it here. If you know of any other retro games that I absolutely should try, please leave a comment or send me an email to [email protected]. Ruff 'n' Tumble is not to be confused with Ruff and Tumble for the PlayStation 1. Regarding Renegade Software: The story of Renegade Software is quickly told. Originally founded in 1991 in England by the developer Bitmap Brothers to publish their own games (we've already featured Speedball 2    • Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe (1990) für Amiga   and The Chaos Engine    • The Chaos Engine (1993) Amiga  , Renegade Software later also distributed games from other developers. In 1995, Renegade Software was acquired by Time Warner and renamed Warner Interactive Entertainment Ltd. That same year, this company merged with Time Warner Interactive to form Warner Interactive Europe. In 1996, the entire company was acquired by GT Interactive, which then became Atari, Inc. The story of Atari, Infogrames, and GT Interactive, with all their acquisitions, sales, and mergers, really deserves to be explored in a documentary. In 1997, Renegade Software was finally dissolved. Other games, besides the Bitmap Brothers classics, include: Fire & Ice Elfmania Flight of the Amazon Queen Can you buy Ruff 'n' Tumble? Yes, used copies start at €40 without packaging, and only from one seller. Ruff 'n' Tumble is owned by Atari, Inc. https://atari.com/
