🚴 HEPHA Urban X auf der EUROBIKE 2026 | Das E-Bike der Zukunft?

At EUROBIKE 2026 in Frankfurt, HEPHA will present its vision of the e-bike of the future with the Urban X. This futuristic concept bike combines state-of-the-art drive technology with intelligent electronics and could fundamentally change the riding experience. At its heart is the innovative "Pedal Only Ride" concept. The Urban X does away with a traditional gear system and the familiar assistance levels. Instead, an intelligent system automatically regulates the gear ratio, motor output, and braking – solely based on the rider's pedaling behavior. The bike's centerpiece is a newly developed mid-drive motor with an electronically controlled, continuously variable eCVT transmission. The gear ratio continuously adjusts to the desired cadence, ensuring the rider always maintains an optimal cadence, regardless of incline or speed. With a peak output of 1,000 watts (250 watts continuous output), the motor provides powerful yet smooth assistance. Another highlight is the regenerative braking system. As soon as the rider stops pedaling or pedals backward, the motor decelerates the bike and recovers energy in the process. This allows the battery to be partially recharged while riding, and in many everyday situations, braking with the levers can be largely avoided. The ultra-fast charging system is also generating buzz: The removable 560 Wh battery can be charged to 80% in just 15 minutes using the specially developed 1.5 kW charger – directly from a standard household outlet. This would set new standards for charging times with the Urban X. HEPHA is also breaking new ground when it comes to safety.
