As we have discussed previously, you need to find a rhythmic subdivision that is comfortable for you. Keep in mind that in this context the rhythm is more important than the notes. Start with rhythm motifs, not just sixteen notes, but rhythmic sentences. One trick to come up with these rhythm phrases is grabbing a book and read something. Choose a phrase from the book and translate its rhythm phrasing to notes on your instrument. Eventually, your fingers will take over, but retaining that rhythm phrasing intention.
