Asia Forum in Venice 2026: Minor Feelings — Conversation 3: Care and Rest
Asia Forum returns to the Venice Biennale with Minor Feelings, a programme of conversations, artistic interventions, screenings, and performances exploring diasporic experience, collective care, and the politics of being rendered “minor.” In resonance with the 61st Biennale di Venezia, Minor Keys, curated by Koyo Kouoh, the programme takes inspiration from Cathy Park Hong’s concept of “minor feelings” — the emotional and political dissonance that emerges when lived realities are persistently contradicted by dominant narratives. Held at Fondazione Querini Stampalia, Asia Forum: Minor Feelings brought together artists, curators, writers, and thinkers from across the Global Asia/s. Conversation 3: Care and Rest With Binna Choi, Jon Cuyson, Selene Yap, and Rahul Gudipudi, moderated by John Tain and Hammad Nasar. This conversation reflected on rest, care, resilience, and collective forms of support as artistic, curatorial, and political practices. -- Asia Forum is organised by Annie Jael Kwan, Hammad Nasar, John Tain, and Ming Tiampo. Minor Feelings is presented in partnership with Carnegie Museum of Art, Getty, Afterall, ICI Berlin, Fondazione Querini Stampalia, School for Curatorial Studies Venice, CREA Cantieri del Contemporaneo, and Ca’ Foscari University Venice, with ArtReview Asia as Strategic Media Partner, and support from NAC Singapore and Something Human. The programme is presented with the patronage of the DVRI – Distretto Veneziano della Ricerca e dell’Innovazione, with thanks to the Pavilions of Australia, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Germany, and Uzbekistan. Special thanks to the Bagri Foundation, who have supported the work of Asia Forum through the Sakti sponsorship (2023–2025). https://asia-forum.international/ #AsiaForum #MinorFeelings #VeniceBiennale #GlobalAsia #ContemporaryArt #BinnaChoi #JonCuyson #SeleneYap #RahulGudipudi #CareAndRest
