May 4-5, 2022 For some reason, I tackled the 80+ km Kyoto Loop Trail over two days wearing trail running shoes that didn't fit me properly. My feet were a wreck. My feet were close to their limit. Daimonji - Mt. Hiei - Camping near Mt. Shimei Day 2: Mt. Shimei - Kurama - Yonaki Pass - Mt. Shiroyama - Kiyotaki Tunnel - Mt. Matsuo - Kamikatsura Station On Day 1, I couldn't make it to my planned campsite in Shizuhara, but I found a nice spot just past Mt. Hiei, so I pitched my tent and watched the sunset.
