photographing the Rakotzbrücke

In late November, I travelled to Germany to visit my British bestie Tom ‪@thornton‬ for the second time this year. We crammed in so much togetherness in 3 days that it will last me another 6 months or so. Between countless mugs of glühwein (mulled wine) we made a day trip to Gablenz in eastern Germany to see the Rakotzbrücke: a fairytale stone bridge hidden inside a quiet park in Saxony, and one I had almost missed due to travel delays. That evening, we wandered the Leipzig Christmas Market, one of the oldest and largest Weihnachtsmärkte in Germany. I also got to meet the ball of energy that is ‪@ClaraFrancken‬ 😍 The following day, we visited Enya and I witnessed the filming of an episode of The Pointless Adventures‪@thepointlessadventures‬ It was joyful, chaotic, and fuelled by more Christmas markets and more glühwein. By the end of it, my social battery was completely spent. To reset, I travelled solo to Dresden for a quiet day to myself. No museums. No agenda. Just time to recharge after days of connection and conversation. It turned out to be exactly what I needed.
