ICON Treatment of White Spot Lesions
White spot lesions occur as a result of subsurface enamel demineralization located on smooth surfaces of teeth]. The white appearance is the light-scattering optical properties of the decalcified enamel. The ICON treatment is used to change the optical properties of the tooth enamel to mask the appearance of the white spot lesions. It requires only micro invasion of the teeth and no anaesthetic or drilling.
