Trumpeter 1/35 South African Rooikat AFV (by Trevor)
The Rooikat Armoured Fighting Vehicle is a modern South African wheeled recon vehicle and tank destroyer. It was developed for the National Defence Force in the 1980’s, when the country was still under an arms embargo, hence the export of this vehicle was rather unlikely. As a result, the vehicle was strictly designed for local terrain, and a very successful vehicle was created, considered by some to be one of the best in its class in the 1990s. The 1/35 scale Trumpeter kit yielded a fine-looking scale model of the South African Rooikat AFV. The instructions were very well-illustrated and easy to follow, and the included paint guide was clear and concise. The model parts were well-packed and free of imperfections, and featured many scale-accurate surface details. 00:00 – Intro 01:36 – Unboxing 04:16 – Building the Model 05:53 – Some Interesting Stats 07:18 – Painting the Model 12:46 – Weathering the Model 13:25 – Thoze Wheelz! 14:10 – Finale
