Sito Carcavilla "El Everest es el Everest. Para lo bueno y para lo malo"

Sito Carcavilla is a mountaineer, geologist, and Carlos Soria's partner. As a scientist and geologist, he spent this year in Antarctica. Upon his return, almost immediately, he set off for Dhaulagiri as Carlos Soria's partner in his attempt. They were unable to reach the summit, and in Kathmandu, he decided to attempt Everest. He achieved this in a week: Kathmandu-base camp-summit-Everest-Kathmandu. His advantage lay in his acclimatization and the fact that the first summit attempts, those prone to overcrowding, had already taken place. This allowed him to ascend an Everest rarely seen at this time of year, an Everest where he only shared the summit with seven other climbers, and an Everest where he climbed many sections accompanied only by his partner, Mikel Sherpa.
