Burgers' Zoo laat apen los in de Mangrove 🐵🌴

Burgers' Zoo is introducing two red titis to the Mangrove, which can move throughout the hall using artificial vines. Visitors to Royal Burgers' Zoo will soon be able to discover a charismatic new species in the Mangrove: the red titi, also known as the red titi monkey. These are two males that can move through the hall using artificial vines. The Arnhem zoo is continuously expanding the mangrove ecosystem as it develops step by step. A vocal monkey species Red titis live in tropical regions. Due to natural barriers such as large rivers and mountain ranges, different species (and subspecies) of titis have evolved. Males are generally slightly larger than females, and this monkey species is known for being very vocal: they enjoy making themselves heard and have a varied repertoire of sounds. They do not live high in the treetops, but can usually be found in the lower parts of trees. An ecosystem is never finished. Burgers' Mangrove is an ecosystem that is constantly evolving and never completely finished. It's a constant search for a natural balance, just like it occurs in nature. When a particular animal or plant species becomes too numerous, they can be donated to other zoos, or sometimes natural enemies are introduced into the system to capture young animals and create a new balance. The vegetation also continues to develop, and new species can be introduced into the ecosystem.
