Launch of the 2nd Hellenic FDI HS Nearchos

🎥 Launching ceremony of the second defense and intervention frigate #FDI HS Nearchos, intended for the Hellenic Navy on Thursday September 19, 2024 in Lorient! 🇬🇷 #HSNearchos is the second ship ordered by the Hellenic Navy in a series of three defense and intervention frigates. As part of the program, Naval Group has designed a solid cooperation plan aimed at developing new capabilities for Greek industry, maintaining highly skilled jobs and generating long-term economic benefits in Greece. The #FDI is a pure technological product! This multi-role combat frigate is innovative: 100% digital and cyber secure with high-level capabilities in all areas of combat. Its integrated mast is unique: the Panoramic sensors and intelligence module #PSIM brings together all the aerial sensors, for permanent 360° surveillance. 🛡️ These latest generation frigates will thus make it possible to quickly and sustainably strengthen the capabilities of the Hellenic Navy's surface fleet.
