In Part 1, we'll start with the conversion and show you how a simple van is transformed into a versatile camper. We'll begin by installing a Reimo pop-top roof with OpenSky function, which not only provides more space but also adds a touch of luxury to the Vito. We'll prepare everything inside: dismantling the old seat console, removing the trim panels and the partition wall – an important step to ensure the new, flatter bench seat fits perfectly later. The insulation and cladding of the sheet metal parts have also been completed, so we can start building the furniture. A special highlight is the integration of the Vitrifrigo top-loading refrigerator, which we've already installed in a test kitchen made of chipboard. This demonstrates how important precise planning is to create a functional kitchen unit even in limited space. In addition, we're planning the installation of a lithium battery, an induction hob, and an air heater to make the Vito not only beautiful, but also suitable for everyday use and independent. For the driver's area, we're using a high-quality Scopema rotating console, which not only saves space but also provides greater comfort. We're also optimizing the cable routing around the seat console to create a clean and reliable solution – because proper planning is crucial, even for small details.
