EXPLORE Banff National Park: The Definitive Guide🍁

Welcome to the video! Exploring Banff is experiencing some of the most exquisite scenery in the world and this video is showcasing this beauty! I start in the townsite of Banff and explore the town and neighboring areas. We then head north and drive along the Bow Valley Parkway (stopping in at Johnston Canyon and Morants Curve) and then to Lake Louise (visiting Lake Louise and Moraine Lake). From Lake Louise, we continue north to the Icefield Parkway, visiting Bow Lake and Peyto Lake. This video was a labour (labor) of love - and exploring Banff is also one of the things I love most in this world. For years I have been compiling video and visiting all of the locations in the park and, it was important to me that I not publish an "Explore Banff" video until I had visited and filmed every major site and attraction in the park. This is, I hope, the most comprehensive and helpful guide to Banff on YouTube. This video is very detailed as it not only visits all of the major sites but also gives information on the history of some of the sites and some - hopefully - interesting facts on some of the popular areas in the park. In the mid-1980s I went to the University of Calgary and started working for Calgary Tourism (named the Calgary Convention and Visitors Bureau at the time (and oh boy, do I have some interesting stories from that period of time!)). After graduating from the University of Calgary I worked full-time with Calgary Tourism for years. My experience in the tourism industry in Calgary included working in conjunction with the mountain parks and towns. How lucky was I? But, life moves on and so did I and now I visit Banff (several times a year) as a humble visitor.
